Heres a progress report... theres alot of pics of the motor... mainly for if I happen to forget where something goes, I can refer to them...

I gotta get this feller I know to come out to discharge the AC before I can pull the motor...

So once he does that, I will disconnect the fuel and power steering lines, disconnect the tranny and mounts, and pull that son r bitch out... Then yank the remaining harness, gut the rest of the car, pull the front frame off, and then finish tearing apart the GT...

Hey Greg - this would be the perfet time to do that mod where you hide all the wires under the hood O0

LMAO. That is epic - Nice picture. :boink:

The 25 lb weight is there to dampen cowl shake on the convertibles. This was Ford's band-aid for not building an appropriate chassis in the first place. :)

Nah - you just have to take your time and be creative. You can get virtually everything behind the fenders... it just takes time and effort.

I've done it - it took me about four days.

Re: Greg's REBUILD thread [UPDATE - motor progress pics]

oky doky...

Work on the parts car has come to a halt... Here is all the progress on the car... I uploading some pics from last Summer too so everyone can see the progress I am making... It feels so fuckin awesome to look at the car and see it moving along so nicely.

So today I...
Pulled off the remainder of the accessories...
Pulled off the remainder of the motor mounts...
Pulled out the motor...
Pulled out whats left of the wire harness...
Pulled out whats left of all the ABS crap...

Next on the to-do list...

Friday and Saturday I want to drop out the H pipe, drop the tranny and check out the rear seal on it. (The yolk was pushed into it and fluid leaked out.) I also need to clean out the garage some more, clear up some room to work. Then I figure I'll pull off the bellhousing, clutch and flywheel, put the motor on an engine stand and clean that up all nicy nice. Get that ready to be rebuilt. Pull the car off the blocks, roll it out and powerwash whats left of the engine bay... Get that ready for the new frame pieces to be welded on...

All in all... I'm making progress quick... Still need that feller to come discharge the AC on the parts car so I can pull that motor and all that fun stuff...

Heres the pictures...
