Lol the SOHC is a PITA to do cams on too thats for sure. I'm in the process of replacing my heads, and tearing it down is cake. Walk in the park, but to get the timing right oughta be fun.. NOT. Can't even imagine the DOHC. I got a buddy who has a tool designed specifically for timing on these motors so that should make it easy. But still I'd take a simple pushrod over OHC any day for ease of working on.
I almost picked up a 94 Cobra a few months back would have daily'd it too but just couldn't get what the guy was asking for it. 5.0's are just badass all around, easy to work on, easy to make power, cheap parts, HUGE aftermarket availability, and you can put any freakin exhaust on them and they sound good. I can't say the same for the 4.6.... LOL. You should have fun with that 5.0 man, kinda wish I had one myself sometimes. But then again when I'm gettin 21-23mpg while making a decent amount of power... It's the best of both worlds if you ask me
