On a related note, I am always amazed at how small these cars are. I saw an actual GT40 at an SVT show several years ago and I towered over the car standing next to it at about 40" to the roof line.

I've seen a few true gt40's in person and they always amaze me!!

Ford was building a Ferrari fighter GT racer. It ended up 40" tall. Hence the name GT40. Really!

I was lucky enough to hear one of the originals fire up at barret jackson one year. Its one of those sounds that with in a minute flat had drawn EVERY ford/chevy/mopar dude with ear shot to walk over and go "g-DAMN!!!!!!"
