I wasn't having any issues with the Ford gaskets but last exhaust swap I used some Pearcy's high heat copper gaskets and stage 8 bolts and so far so good.

Remflex is all we use. They have a 50% crush rate (meanig they are 2x as thick, which is good) and are re-usable to boot.

On my bbk shortys i used stock gaskets. all i can suggest is to make sure ALL mating surfaces are true, and hardware is torqued properly.

check the head and header flange with a machinists rule

many top-end header manufacturers and racers use nothing but RTV copper or orange. There is even a spray on to make it easy. I've done this with success in a jam but gone back and put stock gaskets in.
