Heater Vent Not Working

The Vent portion of my heater won't seem to work, all it does is blow air out the defrost towards the windshield. Anybody ever seen what controls this and how I can get to it?

just fixed mine a couple weeks ago, my problem was one of the vaccuum lines coming off the main tree the A/C one was broken about half way accross the engine bay, bought a new cable and all is good its a thin black plastic line.

Check the vacuum line for the a/c under the hood

yup, no sorce vaccum from the tree. start there and start tracing the line into the firewall

yep thats my vote. Stupid me didn't check that first, and pulled half the center section apart before I thought about it.
