Don't buy. I have hedman unequal shorties and the fitmit was absolute s***!!!! No matter what I do, I always have an exhaust leak with them. I have thick gaskets, still leak. STAY AWAY.

Yeah i have also heard of some horror stories from other sites. I would steer clear of them.

Wish I would done better research, guys with GM engines tend to have less issues. Mine have been nothing but an absolute PITA. I want to swap in better ones, but would rather re-do my suspension first. But the the quality was terrible, in order to just INSTALL them, I had to modify the bolts they included to fit onto the header flanges because the heads were to big and would be touching the header tubes. This was on an engine stand too none the less, couldn't imagine with engine still in car.

I installed some shorty equal length hedman's on my '94 cobra back in Dec..... I notice an increase in power over stock (not huge).... No real probs other than the driver's side was a PITA to install.... Mine came free with the car and aren't TORK.... If I was paying for them I would probably buy another brand, however.... Good Luck

I need 50 state legal and I do want equal lengths. That's what makes it difficult.

i put hedman longtubes on my 84 with a 5spd, and let me tell you that was the biggest pain in the fucking ass! i ended up having to beat the shit out of the piping where the tubes collect just before the collector just to get it past the starter, also had to take off motor mounts and raise the motor about 3"

also keep in mind all this was on an 84 FOX, alot more clearance than the sn95

I hear bad things about Mac and the bbk's are nice but I want the most out of them as I plan to build a 331 in a bit and later supercharge it.

Mac/BBK still better than Hedman, unless you have your mind set on those POS, get them. I f*cking hate mine and can't wait to swap them out. Learnt the hardway, cheaper isn't always better.

A good set of Headers are the 1 3/4 primary BBK ceramic's that should flow perfectly fine for a built up 331. If you can watch classifieds on places like corral you can occasionally see a set of kooks or a set of bassani's that will work for our car.
