Thanks ttocs, for that information. I will certainly try to keep my current ecu and look for someone to do the tuning. One of the shops, Mo's in Dallas, Gaeorgia that I am thinking of using has references from people farther away than 2-3 states coming to use his tuner man. I live in Alabama and the shop that I found about yesterday locally will probably be ok to do the physical labor of swapping parts and may know a local tuner, but if not the shop in Georgia can certainly get it running right.
Chris Johnson was very good with my 94 Cobra. His company got bought out by somebody and he is there now.

Give Don LaSota Racing a call. He did the tune for my 95 GT with a Kenne Bell over email and it’s spot on. 94-95s are his specialty. I later had the car on the dyno here locally and was there to have the guy tweak the tune and he told me, “whoever did your tune is apparently a much, much better tuner than I am.” He said that my AFR ratios were absolutely perfect and there was really nothing much to tweak on it. I later added AFR heads, a cam, and a new lower under the Kenne Bell and asked Don to re-adjust tune and he told me it was fine like it was. Took it back to the dyno and was making an additional 75hp at the wheels with AFR ratios still spot on. He’s a real wizard with the 94-95 ECUs.

Edit: FYI, I have a TwEECer RT unit in my 95 GT vert.

ttocs, where is your shop or the shop you work at? Is there a ‘94-‘95 tuning specialist there? I have a ton of work done to my ‘95, with a built 331 and a supercharger. I went to a tuner who is supposed to be “the guy” for ‘94-‘95 cars, and my tune is still not right.

I am disabled so I don't work anywhere outside of my own garage/basement. Closest shop to me that was really recommended was in louisville ky area. It was a little further than I wanted to take mine so I went with a holley hp ecu and remote tuning and support from them has been very helpful.

I hear this same message over and over. Some good fox body tuners just don't have the knowledge or experience with the sn95 ecu's.

Don Lasota was the exception many years ago, didn't know he still does remote tuning.

I have known more than a few people that just never got more advanced than the fox body cars and see no reason to do it. I can understand that when people get comfortable with something they do not like to change but there have been PLENTY of advances since that others have taken advantage of.
