Help me choose, Alpine or Sony ??

Looking at these models. I have some credit at Best Buy so i want to buy there. Mostly I want the 3 pre-outs and HD radio. I like the option of blue lights on these as well. I think Alpine used to be the best, now i have no idea.

Definately Alpine over Sony. Did you look at any Pioneer stuff?I just got a Poineer and my display has 20 different colors options. USB and 3.5mm front inputs.

ahhhhhhhhh iduno and I am a longtime/hardcore alpine fan... Seems all the shops I worked for after leaving best buy carried alpine and I can say I rarely pulled one out for issues and loved every one I have ever owned. With that being said I am no long installing but still have my ear on the industry and I have heard they new line isn't all that impressive. Now Sony dropped th EXPLODE bullshit and actually spent some time on their mobil line this year and I have heard good stuff so far. Could be 6 of 1, half dozen of another, go with what feels right to you.

a major difference that i notice compared to my "old" Alpine from 2000, is that the new ones have a visible cd slot, thus making the display screen and buttons smaller. the sony still has a full size head unit that u must tilt to put in a cd. Im probably never going to use the CD player but Alpine makes it always visible! And Sony comes with a remote.

Ill probably still get the Alpine just for the name though /

I have always used pioneer but my next will be alpine. I wasnt impressed with the high dollar kenwood neither. Im going to a headunit i got from madstang.

Ive had an older panasonic for like 6-7 years now.

has the display like that and you can upload videos to it, its kinda cool. Ive always liked it. very easy to use, looks nice, and the equalizer adjustments are awesome

100% buy the alpine, dont buy sony audio equipment, its garbage for w/e reason

Better yet id take an 80s boombox seatbelted in the back seat before a sony headunit. Theyre def not on the same standards as their home audio/video.

lol, the sony head unit works, but I have on sitting in a box somewhere because it was as verm just said, = to 1980s tech.

Had virtually no equalizer adjustment at all and all the music sounded like a 2 fast 2 furious sound track with nothing but muddy ass bass and a hint of voices in the background for w/e reason

It was junk IMO
