You replaced the metal crush gasket between the manifold and the midpipe right?

Can you actually see the gap or is it just the ticking/pinging noise telling you the leak is there?

the engine does not have to be pulled, but it is more time consuming to pull the manifold in the car.

i replaced a drivers side stud without pulling the manifold or the engine, is the passenger side different for some reason?

might have to remove starter, thats all i can think of.

passenger side does have a slightly different angle on it, as i had to use a different set of extensions to properly get at mine.
