GLADLY:) Ill explain kinda simple-like. Basically i hate getting HID light shined at me b/c its blinding and irritating. Halogens belong in halogen housings, HIDs belong in projector housings. What some people do is put HIDs in halogen housings and it throws that super bright light (like 2000K over halogens on bright) all over the road and everyones eyes. The right way to do it is either retrofit a projector housing into your headlamps or get projectors like KB did. Its just half assing it IMO.
hidplanet.com is a great site

There are many factory vehicles equipped with HID headlights that are not in projector housings thus proving you do not NEED projectors to not blind other drivers. The headlights you're experiencing are probably not aimed correctly.

+1. I spent some time adjusting my headlights correctly and didn't buy a crazy color either. I only want light on the road, not up in someone's mirrors.... if need be the hi-beams can do that. :knuppel2:

yes, there are, but these non-projector housings are also specially designed for HID's and have a glare-shield.

word. the common attitude is I am not the one being shined at, who gives a fuck. It's not that bad. Either they don't know how bad it is, or they don't care.

I could say yes and no, my stock headlights don't shine light all over the place, they are very well aimed and focused beams and with HIDs it will be the same, just brighter. People make way too big of a deal out of putting HIDs in stock housings, if the housing has a clear lense and is focused well it's not a big deal. I've seen aftermarket HIDs in civics, explorers, camaros, MUSTANGS, etc. and I have never been "blinded."

not trying to start an argument, just throwing the facts out there for consideration.

you do not currently have HIDs, therefore your opinion about what HIDs in your stock-style headlights will be like carries little, if any, weight

I bought them from a member here and off svtp. Installed them in an hour and got them alligned. then i found out what bulb size they take and bought an HID kit and put it in. Not too bad, i think you can still find them on ebay. I believe Judd has them on his mystic as well, but he has chrome. Im still wanting to put them in the dodge. I went from not being able to see much at night to being able to see alot i love it.

I just sold mine like Judd has to a member on here, They look good on most cars, but some they dont and laser red is one they dont. They should look good on his color car though. I think hes putting hids on them also.
