Attaching link to a video with the weird noise.. it changes tone when the breaks are applied. No clue what this could be, and we're having a hard time pinpointing the source inside the trunk.

pretty sure you hear the fuel pump. It is changing sound because of the change in voltage when the brake lights come on. You could confirm this by turning on the headlights and see if it changes as well.
