have you tried jacking the wheels off the ground and trying to shake them back and forth to check for play?

Okay I have a few questions to ask first off is the vehicle shaking only at certain speeds or is it doing it all the time ? 2nd is the vehicle pulling left or right ? Any and all info is helpful when trying to figure out what's the problem. Kind of replay what happend ask yourself what speed where you going did it feel like the vehicle bottomed out ? Reason I ask this is because most of the time alignment problems such as tie rod ends don't cause a shake unless the have more then normal play and control arms for the most part won't cause a shake unless you blew out the bushings even then it wouldn't be bad. Now as far as a strut well that can cause a shake if it popped the seal inside the unit and it's not doing its job. The number one purpose of a shock or strut is to keep the tire on the ground so if it's blownen it can cause a tire hop which will cause tire cupping. Now it could be possible that a hub bearing could cause a shake because the hub took most of the impact, I'm leaning towards a possible tire or rim issue or bearing, if the vehicle started pulling I would say yes maybe tie rid ends, control arm or even rack but being in the automotive field it's not a common issue when it comes to a shake. I'm interested in hearing what you find keep us posted

it starts at about 25-30 mph and gets worse as i accelerate. i hit a raised bump going about 45 mph and went onto the freeway and had to pull off cause the front end was shaking so bad! the bump was pretty big! the wheels werent the problem cause i have replaced them both with the spares that i had from what was on my rears. it doesnt pull in any direction just shakes pretty bad, i can definitely feel it in the steering wheel!

Make sure you send the bill to the City/State. I had a issue with a pothole and a bent rim and I made the township I was driving through pay for my new wheel and tire due to poor road maintenance. Took some time but I got my money.
