Hood pins

Hey y'all, I just got the ford racing hood pin kit from American Muscle. I plan on installing them Monday, the only thing I'm questioning is if I should use the hood bump stop locations or if I should drill new holes? I have read in other places If I use the hood bump stops the hood will no longer with flush with the fenders. anyone have any experience with this? or just willing to help me out?

I used the bump stop location. the idea that it will not sit flush with fender is untrue. you just adjust the pin rod height so it sits flush with the pins in place.
