2000 vert 3.8 5 speed with 169,000 , issues include screws in bezel for window switches, one rust bubble, dent in fender, cracked hood, and the top of the back seat is cloth instead of leather. This one's about an hour away. 3500 dollars

rust = cancer...very very difficult to remove without lots of cutting. That looks a little rough with the screws, and the rust and body damage. Keep looking, don't settle!!!

Way too much for a V6 with that damage..

U could easily get a GT for $1000 less then that..

Be patient!! Thats how I got my clean ars ride for $1400

could you guys help me out and send me some links to some good deals? I've looked on autotrader, autorv, cars.com
My zip is 43549
I cannot for the life of me find deals like what people are talking about on here. I'm finding v6's going for 5000 and more.
I can spend 4000 cash, or I could afford to finance 6000 but have bad credit so it would have to be financed through a dealer.

I was looking at that one. What I'm trying to find are the ones people on this forum are talking about when they say I can get a gt for 2000 to 2500. Or if the one on this post isnt worth 3500, I'd like to find a 99+vert stick that is worth 3500.
I'm going to go check out that yellow gt when the guy is available. My first choice would be a 99+ regardless of engine as long as its a stick, pre 88 would have to be a v8 stick, PREFERABLY 94-95 black or black and tan interior is a major plus.

Idk man, I've looked at a lot of cars and you're just not going to find a GT in any kind of decent condition for 2 grand, that's wishful thinking and if you hold out for one of those you could be waiting forever. If you want a decent car I'd expect to spend at least 4-5g and that's just being realistic. You MIGHT be able to find a 99+ V6 for cheap but idk about 3500, that's just not much money at all unless you're willing to settle for something with a lot of miles. If you don't want a V8 you can obviously get a nicer car for the money but it's probably gonna have some wear and miles on it.

thats what I thought. I just saw a ragged out 95gt sell for 3400, and a ragged out 96 v6 that will probably go for 2000, but people on here were telling me that I could get a gt for the same price as that 2000 v6, someone said I could easily get a gt for 1000 less than the vert posted above. I don't believe it from everything I've seen, thats why I'm hoping if people are saying they are out there, that they can show me where.
I was figuring I'd pay 4000 for a 94 to 95 gt that needed some minor work, maybe paint if I shopped around
figured if I was getting a 99+ in nice shape that didnt need anything, I'd be spending 5500-6000

so, to give me a good idea, what would the vert above be worth?

I think you'll be waiting a long time for the deals that some got on their cars here. Figure what you're getting. In the last two years I've bought an 01 GT that needed a motor for 2000, and a 97 GT with 209k miles on it for 2000 dollars. In Albuquerque, the cheapest I've seen a running V6 New Edge go for is 2500. In Phoenix it's been 1800.

With 170K miles on a V6, it's probably worth 2500 to 3000. I'd recommend if you have 4000 to spend, try and spend most if not all of it. That should get you in to a 100-120k mile New Edge V6. It may be slow, it may be stock, but it will be decently reliable. It's dandy having a Mustang, but if you can't drive it, it's basically worthless to you.
