How do I properly cap this off?

I put a BBK o/r h-pipe on my car and there's a tube that runs from the engine compartment down the passenger side of the h-pipe that tied into the factory h-pipe. I know it goes to the smog pump but...

I want to leave the smog pump on the car, and just switch out h-pipes when inspection time comes. So, what's the proper way to cap off this pipe? Surely someone else has come across this before. It's a 95 GT if it matters.

Does your offroad pipe have a provision for the air tube? If so, just attach it. That's what I've always done.

If you keep the smog pump attached, it will blow air into that pipe. Probably not advisable to cap it.

In that case, I would:

1) Remove the smog pump altogether and put an eliminator pulley in there. Or,
2) Have a small tube welded into the offroad pipe to attach the hose to. Or,
3) Just leave it uncapped, but you'll hear it.
