How Much Do You Think A Turbo Would Quiet The Volume Of My Car?

Often wondered, I would hate to loose the house shaker from comments by my neighbors while I go 1st...2nd like 8 times (Speed Bumps) in the subdivision. It is very annoying for me especially when I forget something at home like my cigs or my lighter or even my wallet or license before clubbing or bar hopping, but back to the topic. My videos are in the multimedia and in my intro. Love the sound of the spooling up Turbo with a V8 and so many unique BOV's and Waste gate setups for different taste and applications. Don't be shy to post.

Thanks for your time!

Have a great one!

Nick

If you're buying a turbo for the sound....your doing it wrong.

Yea I know but I have heard some equally somewhat loud 03 / 04 Turbo Cobra that sound nasty even though I'm not much of the fan of the modular motors like the 4.6L.

I am not a motor guy by any means, but I would try a different muffler if I wanted a different sound.

Exactly. But u cant go wrong with a good turbo or supercharger..

RyClef331 is right. if u want it for the sound aspect then u are throwing money away. If u have a stroker already, not much sense in going boosted on a DD unless u want faster times..

Different muffler or not A Turbo Quiets a Motor down even with straight down pipe out. Just wondering the percentage of volume in sound I would loose with the same set up I have minus compression and different cam I might have to change if I went Turbo.

Just think a N/A car vs Turbo..... Sound comes straight out of headers to exhaust in N/A. Turbo you have your exhaust come out the Headers....go through the turbo...go through intercooler and into intake and all you mostly hear is BOV or Waste Gate with the rest of the sound coming from the down pipe (I would prob go straight downpipes with straight exhaust and no muffs)

they sell the Jetsons tips if u want that whistle. LOL

I think a good N/a setup sounds better then a Turbo setup...

Turbos are great, but i wouldnt consider it for the sound.

Yea I am thinking that way more and more now maybe I will keep my car and get another one for a turbo project. So I will have both worlds insane power possibilities with the turbo set up and great sound and power with the N/A
