how to get NICE tint??

ok it seems like it cant be done with ford and there stupid little black dots on the quarters and rear glass...just wondering if the tint can be laid nicely without the outline look around the quarter glass and all that pics help as well ...let me know

i just had my tint done by a buddy of mine who owns his own business. the little dots you are referring too "dot matrix"
can be less detected by, (and i watched him do this) he tinted the rear window just like all the others, but then he pulled
the top portion down,about 1/2 inch below the "dot matrix" and applied a thin line of elmers white glue to the base of the
peeled portion, and then squeeged up like normal. it seemed to come up looking better than a lot of other cars i had seen before.

The guy that did mine put a strip of black vinyl over the "dot-matrix" so you can't see it anymore. Then tinted the window as usual.

if you're doing the rear window 5% aka limo tint you could do any of the suggested above or just paint the dot matrix black and then tint.

I got pulled over the other day for my 15% tint. Which sucks ass because I love the tint and now I may have to get rid of it

Any professional shouldn't have a problem with it. When I got my car it had shitty wal mart tint I took it to a tint place they removed and installed for $250. Lifetime guarantee anything goes wrong they will fix it.

It was probally 250 because they charge more to remove it, well from where Im from they do.

Also my sister had her cobalt tinted, and she had the dot matrix on the rear window, and they guy used some black viny to cover them, then tinted underneath, it looked pretty good

Same...just not 5%. The wal mart tint looked soooo shitty. I had to get rid of it.

I could but it wouldn't last long. The law in NY is really sucky. Just about anything is illegal. I got 35% sides and 20% back.

Gonna get mine redone here in a couple weeks. Mine is old and purple :santa_undecided: Last time I called it was 260 for lifetime tint on all the windows and to remove the old crap. The place that im going to does an awesome job, they did my moms 01 stang and it is perfect. Ill have to check and see how they did the back window for ya.
