I don't just reccomend giving someone who doesn't know what they're doing a high speed buffer. You can easily burn the paint. Hell, you can burn gel coat with it.

I would really listen to Handz when it comes to detailing, he is the expert.

I use a porter cable 7424 xp that i got from adams polishes. There is a guy on youtube called junkman that does videos useing this porter cable and with a high grid meguairs compound and pushing it into his own vette he dosent even burn the paint at all. I got the whole kit from them with the foam pad and polishes and it gets a nice finish with little effort. Great for beginners. Other then that i would def say to clay the car and make sure you do all this in the shade when its cool out. Useally mornings or later at night if you do it during the afternoon or in direct sun it will either mess up or be a b**** to get off the car.

When you get a buffer, invest in some halogens from the local hardware store.

Or just invest in a car canopy cause it looks like you're in need of one.

Ya dont listen to me I only own a high end detailing business and have detailed for longer then anyone on this site lol .. And your not going to burn the paint with a high speed buffer at 1500 rpms .. What I told him to do is the only way to do black and get perfection period .. A orbital will help if that is all you have but I would never ever do a car with only a orbital in less its brand new off the lot..

I have seen people burn paint with 1000RPMs when i was teaching a Polishing class. Anything can happen with a rotary.
