How to remove the door locks?

I'm trying to replace the door locks on my 1995 GT.

Lots of YouTube videos but nobody clearly shows how to get the actuator rod out of the plastic V grippy thing on the lock tumbler.

I don't want to break the plastic part.

How does one disconnect the rod from the plastic V clip on the lock?

That plastic part is readily available at your local parts store if you happen to break it

it has been a minute since I saw it but IIRC there is a plastic clip that is around the rod that you rotate, and then you just pull the rod out of the hole.
