Has anyone seen/heard of a Hydraulic Clutch conversion kit for our cars? My cable is pissing me off, I adjusted it 3 weeks ago and it's lose and engaging to soon AGAIN. If anyone who has done this can chime in here that would be great!

Are you running an aftermarket cable? They're known to be pretty crappy. Get a new OEM one

I got the UPR adjustable kit while back(stock adjuster in car was screwed). Everytime I need to tighten it, I have to crawl under the car to do it. I used the cable that came with the UPR kit, should I just get an OEM one and go with that?

That's where I'd start. That seems to be one of the few things the aftermarket could not improve.

So, for firewall adapters, which one would you guys suggest? I want to use the blue quadrant that came with my UPR set-up, but I want a firewall adjuster. I hear steeda is good, is the clutch cable with them good too?

I have a steeda one up in my cabinent. It had like one mounting hole, and the thing wobbled like a mofo in the firewall. I just threw it up there and adjust the cable instead on the fork

I tihnk its like Fiore Micro-click or something? I think Handz had one. Seems pretty neat, no set screws, you just turn it and it like clicks and locks as you turn or something... but for some reason I want to say they don't make them anymore or the company shut down or something. whatever the case, you cant get them anymore I THINK

So aftermarket parts have made the clutch engagement point adjustable from the quadrant under the dash on the top of the pedal, at the firewall through the aforementioned adjuster(s), and a cable that is itself adjustable.

Since we've strayed from the topic of a hydraulic clutch setup to the topic of adjustable cable clutch setups, WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS AND DRAWBACKS TO EACH OF THESE SETUPS? Can you use more than one at a time?

hydraulic clutches are a lil easier on the foot. also do not have to adjust them either. drawbacks are more cost and more expensive if somthing breaks

and a bigger pain to deal with when it comes to the slave leaking or bleeding the system. Drive you crazy, just one more then to break.

i can't really help you about where to find 1 for the stang. but i have an 89 toyota truck with 300,000 miles, it has the origional hydro clutch. no probs at all. both the slave and actuator can be replaced for under 100 bucks.

Sorry, I worded my question wrong:

I wanted to know the benefits and drawbacks of each of the methods of CABLE clutch adjustment (adjustable quadrants v. firewall adjusters v. adjustable cable). Is it beneficial to use one over the other two? Is it beneficial for performance to use more than one.
