What are you disappointed about?

That boss has an intake tune and exhaust and is trapping 117-118 mph....

the gt has basically the same stuff, intake, tune and exhaust with a boss manifold and is running mid 12s at 115-116 mph.

I guess you dont consider those "fast"?

Meanwhile a old pushrod 5.0 with the same mods would be trapping 95 mph, same with the 4.6s NPI turd boxes. lol

Not sure what your running but from my perspectie those trap speeds are extremely impressive considering what I have done to my car to trap 120-121 mph vs those news cars with a few bolt ons

ok going back to the price, funny how everyone is acting like 40-45k is nothing that is also more than the price of 03-04 mystic. gt use to be 22-24k with the pi 4.6l thats 20k difference

If you continue to compair todays prices to those that are almost a decade old, you will continue to be disappointed.... The price of everything has gone up significantly since those models were our from the energy to produce them to the fuel to ship them. Lets also remember the only thing special about the mystic was the paint otherwise it was a stock cobra. This car has more hp, more safety equipment and computers that could not have been imagined in 03-04 to manage it all.

Last week at the ford dealership, the salesperson tried to sell us a 2013 mustang gt. It was the very basic package.. cloth seats, no upgraded stereo, etc.
The price was at $29,000. It had 27 miles on the odometer.

Now compare 29K to 42K and with that saved money, you should be running 10's and possibly 9's.
I'm sure thats fast enough. Hell, the new v6's are even pretty quick.

to do that you have to be pushing more than that 385 you claimed you you changed that first number to a 4 its more likely

Your wrong.

its not a "claim", the car has been on the dyno 10 times, its a normal dynojet, not even a mustang dyno.

If anything the dyno seemed to read high. I saw a exhuast only terminator lay down 410 rwhp on the thing on a nice cool day.

The 385 rwhp was actually the HIGHEST it ever made....most of the runs with that setup were in the 370s rwhp range.

The car trapped 121 MPH consistently.....

Its an auto car with a locking converter.

So where did the 440 come from? Was that a different intake?

Yes, that was with the edelbrock intake and extremely good/ cold air. It made 425-430 rwhp with the eddy too in warmer air. I never ran the car with the eddy on it.

i'd still go with the slip you have in the timeslip page at 116 with 385

You should get your facts right, that was my slip with STREET TIRES spinning half way down the track from March, 2010.

Not sure if you know this but 400 hp cars dont launch very well with a 3800 stall on street tires...I went from 12.2 to 11.35 by swapping from street tires to slicks. The car was spinning like no other.

The car ran 11.7 @ 121 even with Nitto 555r's, with slicks it went 11.30s-11.40s at 120-121 mph all night long

i am not saying your times are wrong. i am saying your hp number are under what they should be. mph says it all on hp.

Lol, w/e you say man.

It was a stock longblock 4.6 PI motor with a vortech making 10-11 psi.....my numbers are spot on for being an automatic with that setup.

Most manual cars with similar setups lay down around 400-410 rwhp

So what about HP/pound?

Or average HP?

I suppose average Hp and weight have nothing to do with trap speeds.

All about that peak HP figure, thats what determines trap speeds!!!!

i am pretty sure you claim 3350 or so for weight but it may not have been you, we all drive sn95 so weight is not going anywhere. and you are claiming stock 04 motor with a vortech @ 11psi

yep, 3350 race weight with me in the car and it was a stock 04 4.6 2v PI motor making a peak of 11 psi or so.

Whats wrong with that?

Lol mph says it all in hp you know fuck all about racing . Gears weight suspension setup trans setup all play key factors in mph. My friends 85 hatch makes 349rwhp stock bore 302 heads cam carburetor lol and went 10.30's last night at 126mph with 1.40 60fts with a jerico to boot. All these people thinking they know on here are just ridiculous.

Exactly.

The fact that he said that shows that he knows nothing about racing so ive given up.

I know my numbers are extremely fast for the power I make but its the truth.

Theres no smoke and mirrors, just a well setup car with a badass stalled auto and some real tires.
