For the first time since I owned this car I'm actually starting to love it now.. Did some final touches today and the result is amazing.

After the IRS swap, I still had a lot of noises coming from several places, the 03 front a-arm balljoint started sqeaking horribly again after 1 week(WTF?!).

Today, I finally had the MM subframe connectors welded in, welded the rear IRS brackets to the frame, topped the diff fluid, sprayed every single bushing of the IRS with telfon spray, changed the oil to Mobil-1.

After that, I jacked up the front, cut a tiny hole in the balljoint boot, stuck a straw in there and complete filled it up with teflon spray and white spray grease. After that I sealed the tiny hole again with some SICAFLEX on my finger and BEHOLD! the balljoint is completely quiet again.

Just got back from driving a few miles, the IRS is starting to calm down, the front balljoints and quiet and the entire car feels so much better thanks to the subframe connectors! Feels more quality-like, changes directions more quickly, doesn't feel like an accordion every time you set of from a stop..

it was a good day!

Thats great man! Do the subframes make the ride harsher over bumps at all? I know when I put lowering springs, the ride got alot harsher, but maybe subframes would help soften it up a bit?

Good stuff Dutch. I`ve just got a set of eibachs that arrived today that`ll be going on (for appearance more than anything else ) and a set of 18s. I already love my Stang as it has more character than all my cars put together. I`ve kinda accepted it`ll never be a handling car as chassis technology doesn`t warrant the cash IMO to even get it to corner better as I`d still get `caught out` or left for dead by some Focus RS/ scooby/or some other rally derivative as the roads here are twisty and undulating.
How long have you had your sn95?

Noises piss me off.

LoL, I hate them too. Squeaks/rattles/creaks etc. They crack me up. Generally old Fords are not the cars to have of you don't like noises. In saying that my one only has 20k miles on it so I dont expect any soon.

Subframes won't make it any "softer" but they allow your shocks/struts to work better off the stronger less flexible platform. Overall mine felt WAY more solid & stable,.. cornered so much flatter & high speeds (legal ones) much safer. I too say it was one of the best mods ever.

You're right of course - guess I'm just poking a litt fun at myself for not doing this already. Glad to hear it's such a good mod and worth the effort and money.

over cobbled streets etc, it SEEMS the ride is firmer, but that's just because the sheetmetal isn't absorbing the bumps anymore and the suspension (specially lowered ones) have to work harder. But in the end it's better for the car and still feels more stable/quality. Over (speed)bumps, you get a nice thump instead of the car moaning to go over it..

Can't agree more with everyone on the noise thing. It makes me want to punch a small child when something rattles (a big example being my exhaust!!! :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:). Glad you got everything to your liking

Hey dutch. They make a small need that is made for a grease gun. It pokes a hole so small you can't see it unless grease comes out of it. It is also hollow and the grease squirts right through it. I used them for years.
