Hopefully it won't be that serious. Did the car come with any kind of warantee?

sounds like time to drop some dough on a forged shortblock.
 Yeh ill def take donations. He was saying worst case id either have to replace the block or possibly get a stroker kit. lol. If i do replace the block i think id go with a 99+ cobra engine. Prolly not the 03-04 cuz i got nearly no money. But if it needs replaced might as well do it right the first time.Red96GT said:DFG_Pimpin said:no..Red96GT said:95_gt_convertable said:time for a tear down and rebuild

im pretty sure 96-98 motors are better tha 99-01.
well from what i can remember the 99+ came with better heads and more aggressive cams. I think....don't quote me on that. But i have heard they are better. ill have to do more research on that later if it really comes down to it. :dunno:Red96GT said:DFG_Pimpin said:VertTireSmoke said::lol: Yeh ill def take donations. Ive already run 2 cans of seafoam thru it. I doubt running another will change the fact there is something wrong internally.5.0wned said:Quick96Mystic said:let the car suck up some more seafoam, once it starts smoking a little bit... turn the car off for about 10-15 minutes start it back up and see if anything changes
Man sorry to hear that. Try that though because I have a feeling that will work out some of the crap. And it cant hurt if the car barely runs and you do need a new block ya know? Keep us posted man.
the ratio of people that have done it successfully to peole that have messed somethin else up is vast....actually this is the first time i have read anywhere that people had problems with it.[TxCobrA98 said:]
you should come out to rockwall and do it for me then... i wont hold you liable for any damage, im just afraid to do it myself.. i don't want something like this to happen.
Im pretty sure youre wrong.DFG_Pimpin said:VertTireSmoke said::lol: Yeh ill def take donations. He was saying worst case id either have to replace the block or possibly get a stroker kit. lol. Yeh i would have to agree with u. Ive done shitloads of research looking for ppl that have similar experiences with seafoam and have found very few that have had bad things happen. i would say 95% of the time seafoam works and ppl love it. I fell into the 5% that things happen to. Im not pissed and im not saying seafoam was the complete cause of this horrible problem just that it didn't become apparent until i used it.DFG_Pimpin said:the ratio of people that have done it successfully to peole that have messed somethin else up is vast....actually this is the first time i have read anywhere that people had problems with it.[TxCobrA98 said:]

not sure. They have to pull the engine out to see what the hell is fucked up. They couldn't find anything up top. It looks like the seafoam washed a lot of the carbon down into the bottom of the engine possibly fucking up a valve....or a connecting rod....or a piston....or bearings....lol. They have a lot of ideas what it could be and none of which i like cuz they will all make me go broke.4point6GT said:so it fucked up ur engine 4 good ?
