Ignition Issues

A couple of weeks ago I swapped out my entire steering column and used my old ignition switch. Last week I noticed that anytime I opened my door the little ding sound came on as if I left my keys in or my lights on which were not. Then yesterday I went to turn on my car and all of my stereo settings were reset (aftermarket). I reprogrammed my settings and left the car over night, this morning the settings reset again. Any ideas? What could be the problem? How do I fix it? I can live with the annoying bell but having to do my settings all the time is killing me.

the ignition haning and making it ding is a commong problem. On mine after I turn the keys back and then pull them out I have to bump it back forward to keep this from happening. I think the spring that pulls it back tends to fade after time.

As for your radio resetting idunno. You would need to test to see if it is loosing constant power.

I have a DFG myself that I am looking forward to putting a chin spoiler on this week...

I bought my Chin spoiler from American Muscle, it fit ok but I replaced the supplied plastic clips for some metal hardware. Not sure if all the chin spoilers do this but mine hung a little low on the corners with the plastic clips

your radio has 2 pwr wires. 1 is always powered, the other is fed from the ign sw. or some kind of switched pwr source
you may have blown a fuse for the one that's hot all the time.
