either front O2 sensor, it should be the grey w/ red or red w/ black stripe, tie it in on the harness side away from the O2.
the other way is to do it at the ecm but its sort of a rats nest to deal w/.

It makes for some fun cabin lighting. :)

That's what I heard right after I bought mine. So I'm waiting to get a wide band.

yea, i got it cheep off the classified section. I thought it was wideband. and i was like $50.00 sweet! (I thought they were like $100.00) so i picked it up, then found out that widebands are like... $350.00... so ... i got a gauge pod with 1 empty hole. a guage i already paid for, and a cabin in major need of some cool lights... LOL!

okay, so on the o2, can i run it to the sensor under the drivers side seat? or passenger side seat? or do i have to go out of the car, then down to the exhaust, to the o2, then splice it in? its it just splicing to 1 wire on the o2 and 1 wire for power?

It says "not to use a power element with dimmer capabilities, these will reduce your device's life span" where do you guys suggest? sub woofer wires?

Sorry bro, can't help you. I've lost my instructions and have three wires tucked away disconnected. I can always go to AutoMeters website and get the instructions. My boost gauge is hooked up to my dimmer switch but only cause if I need to dim the lights, I'd like all of them dim.

thanks all, ill see what i can do... th reason i ask is because i looked at the ones that came with the gauge and they are just like "Plug it into the re-route-re-direction-blah-blah-anti-blah plug on the o2 sensor." (Pretty much junk i dont understand) my main question is: can I plug it into the o2 sensor under teh seat? or do i have to leave the cabin?

no suggestions on a power sorce with no dimmer switch involved? lol

Have you looked at any of the instruction manuals on AutoMeter's website? My instructions from them explained which wire was a dimmer wire and which was a constant headlight power source (only comes on when parking lights are on).

i looked and they are exactly what i have with the gauge...

which, are tricky (for us dumb people) to understand... I ran my vac gauge into the dimer switch (cigarette lighter bulb) and I have no idea where a non-dimmer switch electric run.

about all i understand from it is: Do not run this device into a dimmer switch, it will reduce the lifespan of the device.

anything on the sterio I can plug it into?

use the key on power on the fuse block, basically the radio fuse. just get an add a fuse for that or get creative w/ the wire and you'll see what i mean. but thats all its saying to use.

Any 12v switched power source will work for power.

Have you tried google? I think I found out how to do this years back with it.

You're making it harder than it is. If you go behind your headlight switch/knob... there are a bunch of wires hooked up to it. Your Haynes manual says that the hot wire comes into the switch and for headlights, there are a few outgoing parallel circuits out going. It looks like the Red/Yellow wire is the one that is controlled by the headlight switch before it gets into the dimmer switch. Page 12-29 of the Haynes manual.
