Interior Work Questions

I need some work done on the interior of my car soon. I am having my entire car Dynamated and after that I wanted to look into 2 new leather seats, dash and doors painted and a few other small things. The car has some cosmetic flaws inside that I dont want to touch. I ve painted the dash is my buddy's car and while it was real easy, I would like a professional paint job.

So my questions are:

- Can I get direct replacement leather seats from the factory or are there cheaper places to find similar styles? If you have any ideas please post me a link or site.

- Does anyone know of what kind of shop I could take it to, to get this work done in Michigan? ( already checked with my usual body shop, they told me they dont want to mess with steering wheel painting, would other body shops take on interior work like this?)

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Check Summit Racing on the paint, both VHT and Eastwood make paint's that will do the job for under 20 bucks.

As for seat's, specifically what kind of seat's are you looking for? Cushy nice leather, Lincoln style? Or stock leather? Or upgraded suede type? Or a more performance oriented seat?

Dynamate is kinda shitty product..... look into some Sound Insulation "Second Skin".... its lighter, works better, and most pros in the Audio Industry Recommend it.

The dynamat original is a shitty product. They came out with a updated version called Dynamat Xtreme and it is absolutely amazing. Ive helped several friends put it in and just doing the doors made a HUGE difference in road noise. I know the product your talking about though, its also good stuff, its cheaper which is also a plus but I already have 4 Dynamat Bulk Kits for my car. Enough to do my entire floor, interior roof, rear decks, all of the trunk, doors and under the hood. Ive helped a friend put the exact amount in his V6 98 mustang and the car feals like a mercedes. Its hard to describe what its like riding in a vehicle that has had the entire interior done in it, but even a small amount of dynamat xtreme makes a huge difference.

As for the seats, Im looking for direct replacements basically, something out of a 04 mustang or something similar. I was in my buddy's 02 GT the other day and his seats are in much better condition then mine. Ive tried everything to restore the leather quality back to normal but its too far gone, the previous owner didnt properly take care of the leather.

Are there any links you could post for sites that offer the factory leather seats for a 97 GT?

Also, for the paint and other interiour work i need done, what I need is to find a shop that will paint and install the new seats for me, I live in the middle of the city and I am extremely busy , I need it professionally done. Does anyone know of shops in Michigan that could do this sort of labor???

definitely. The problem is how expensive the stuff is. Ive put in and used other products that are supposed to be similar but nothing really compares to the xtreme dynamat. But if you do the floors, the roof, the trunk, doors, rear decks, and under the hood your car will feel like a mercedes from the interior. You will be able to still hear your exhaust but it will be alot lower from the inside. The ride quality in terms of road noise is basically completed gone. Once the whole car is done you really hear no road noise at all. I can definitely vouch for the results, Ive installed the stuff and have road in several cars with it.

But like I said even just doing the doors and floor make a huge difference.
