Introducing my new Winter beater!

a quick vid of my new winter beater. 1986 Ford F250 4x4 4spd 6.9 diesel, so far its been a total investment of $1500 cdn.
it still needs rear drums, shoes, the right rear wheel cylinder and new axle seals in the rear. it also used to be rusty 2 tone silver , but some quick body work, and $24 worth of krylon flat black fixed that. it runs great though, i may keep it for a while lol. also the queer pink mini van does NOT belong to me.

a quick run through my back yard with the beast.

I've been looking at the same era trucks myself. I prefer a F250 with a 351 but those old non turbo diesels are pretty good.

they are slower than balls. but they have tonnes of pulling power!! i can idle crawl in 4th gear if i release the clutch slow enough.

I'm planning to buy an '82 6.9, pretty much the same as yours that my friend has for sale. Just make sure you look up on the captivation problems some of these trucks have, an additive you add to the radiator will stop it.

its cavitation not captivation . yup my truck has good rad-coolant in it, but man thats a nasty problem if ya have it.

Slow, yes they are... i used to have one at our shop that we used to pull a chipper and yank stumps. It had over 300k on it and ran great.

you better beleive it man !. its a $38 2 1/2 inch cherry bomb, i got it so long because i originally wanted to use to original tail pipe, but now i beleive im going to get a dynomax 3" y-pipe, and than a 5" inch stack through the box muahhahaha. seriously though, i was depressed when i started it up and it was SOO queit even with the open cherry bomb.

Nice buy for a winter beater. The 6.9 was a good engine, but under powered.

I like your cherry bombs on the exhaust, and the vid made me feel like I was in a horror flik.
