My first post so don't be to soft on me. This is what I've added to my 94 Mustang GT stock block with 92K miles: Trick Flow H/C/I, Vortech S-trim, 75mm Throttle Body, BBK headers/shortpipe/Flowmaster 2.5 in exhaust, 3:73 Gears, Trac-loc differential, Anderson Powerpipe, 42 lbs injectors with calibrated MAF, Smog Pump delete, Aluminum driveshaft, Mitshimoto Alum Radiator, SCT custom Tune. It's been professionally dyno'd and the result was 440 RWHP and 432 ftlbs of torque. I'm not looking to add anything else because it runs good and I don't take it to the track. It's just fun to drive. Should I be looking to buy a stronger block soon or am I ok for a while? I've read a lot of the splitting the block stories and I'm not sure if it was a result of racing or just driving down the road.

honestly, it all depends on how strong and how well the car has been taken care of... If you take care of it, don't beat on it, and arn't in full boost all the time, I say it should be fine. Many people argue on here that anything over like 420 isn't safe, but I think it'll be fine. How much boost are you running?

And, I assume you have a 5-speed so I'd also keep the clutch in mind cause it will go eventually, but I wouldn't worry about it too soon.

I'm only at about 6 to 8ish psi according to my boost guage. I haven't changed any pullies or modified anything. I bought the Trickflow kit and the Vortech S trim kit and bolted it on.

seems like you'd have to run more boost to get that number, but maybe cause you have basically all bolt ons in addition to the supercharger... Assuming your boost gauge is reading correctly, I say you'll be fine for awhile, but one day (not for awhile) the block will have some problems...

What kind of problems? I'm seriously thinking about replacing the block now because I don't want to destroy all that I have put into it (would rather wait if I can). Everytime I punch the gas peddle, I'm hoping something disasterous doesn't happen.

do u have stock internals? look into the boss block! me personally think if u take care of it it will stay running fine on your current setup.

Im more surprised you're running that kind of power on stock internals, not that it's the stock block...

More airflow = less restriction. (Heads/Intake/Cam)

Less restriction = less boost.

Block will go before the internals.

Yes, I have stock block and internals. I try to service the engine regularly with good fluids to try and prolong the life of the block. The vibe I getting from everyone is, I should be ok with my current setup as long as I don't increase the boost and leave everything else as is. Am I correct with my vibe/assumtion?

Just don't rev it past 6000 rmp's and you should be fine, i got lots of friends with 500+ stock block and they have been running them for a while, but also have know a few that have spilt lol

damn nice looking pull on the dyno sheet.

if you have the money to get a new block i would start pricing them out if i were you, and talking to machine shops about specific blocks. could be a good time to bump to a 306 or 331.

as far as if your safe with your block you never can be sure. a friend of mine blew up his 45k stocker with a powerdyne supercharger on 6psi.

Sounds like a great car. I wouldn't worry too much about the block. Not unless your pulling a lot of rpms (that usually seems to do it). I know guys running similar setups as you who are have no issues with the stock block. Most people I know that spit the block are running either blown 347's or sprayed 347's on a stock block and are regularly revving past 6k.

As long as you take care of the engine through regular maintenance and don't do stupid stuff, you'll be fine. My 5.0 has 145K on the engine itself, and I'm running 11PSI with absolutely no problems. I have more problems with other things (sensors, freeze plugs blowing, A/C failing, etc.) going out that I am worried about the engine.

Detonation could kill it especially with stock pistons. Keep rpm's down, watch boost level, and be careful
powershifting. I had a friend whose son split a block w a turbo on second trip around block. His dad was
a great 5.0 mechanic and had tuned w exhaust wide band but not dyno tuned.

The car goes real lean at 5800 on your graph so i def wouldnt take it above 5800rpms. Besides that you should be good but all blocks are different. Some split at 400, some 500 and 600.....

The block is fine and the internals are fine. Don't worry and sleep well at night. Just don't rev it over 6000. I have had a few supercharged cars making over 450 rwhp and they were all fine and still on the road today. Your car will last.

At those miles your biggest concern (imo) would be rings and/or bearings. The block won't, or atleast, shouldn't split. They're kind of known for splitting @ 500+

If anything it'll smoke under wot eventually due to the piston rings which is honeslty way easier to deal with than a split block! Lol

&& I must give credit where credit is due, very nice numbers dude!
