So due to limited amount of money I have and choices I have decided to just fix my rod bearings.
Im going with bi-metal rod bearings instead of tri-metal.
My only concern at this point is what the crank is going to look like.
I honestly don't see why it would have any scarring or damage since the car hasn't been driven not has the rpms exceeded over 2000 rpms since the day I spun the bearing.
We have came to conclusion that the cause to this was because she was starving for oil. Probably not much but enough to have spun the bearing since it was #8 cylinder and I've been told that the #8 bearing normally gets damaged by lack of oil.
So today I went to start it and let it idle, at idle the knock is nonexistent. Up until 2000 rpm.
Watch the video, I know it won't say much but tell me what you guys think, how likely is it that I did some damage to the crank?

The issue is actually having the money to get a pi motor. My income tax was only $350 and I still have yet to sell the laptop. I also still have to register my car which is what is coming first, that's going to run me $750

Honestly I think building a motor will get expensive on such a tight budget man. You need seals/gaskets which aren't that cheap if you're on such a limited budget, not to mention tools/space/time its gonna take. Time is money. Im with Musturd on this one...

Look for another motor from a yard or something(warranty would be great) and do a quick swap.

I got a buddy who said we could do work at his house, again my issue with getting a motor is getting the money, since I haven't sold the laptop yet that's becoming more unlikely to happen. If I can gets my hands on a motor then I'll definitely do that but fixing the bottom end would be my last option

I didn't want to post this in your classified thread... and I'm not trying to be an ass, so don't take it the wrong way... The reason it hasn't sold is because you're asking too much for it.

I've dropped the price down to $500 that's twice less what it was paid for brand new few months ago.

That's fair. I haven't checked your thread in a few days, so I didn't know you dropped the price down from what you were asking in the OP.

Yeah it's down quite a bit.. Trust me I'd want nothing more than a pi motor in my car but if I cannot sell the laptop it won't happen

Dear Jesus, $750 for registration? Why is it so high Jonesy? I worked for TXDOT in college, I may be able to help.

If you could that would be AWESOME!
I bought the car in Oklahoma and they don't do sales tax on their cars and I paid $9995.00 for it

I just called the tax office and spoke with the lady she said I was given false information that the only reason I would have to pay $750 is that if the car was paid in full, not financed. She said all I need to pay is $185
