Nice new addition. You seem very detail oriented with your car, plan on polishing the headunit etc or leaving it in the silver casting?
Thanks man.

I'm leaving it satin...I'm not a big fan of polished parts. I'm going to get the power pipe and discharge tube powdercoated white, with all black couplers, stainless hardware, and satin parts. My TB/Plenum setup are the same finish.

FRPP 42# inj, sct ba2600, ford gt supercar fuel pump

The Injectors are a good choice.

The MAF, I would go with a SLOT 05+ style with blow through. ba2600 is eh from what i have heard.

Go with a Aviator fuel Pump instead of the GT Supercar pump. The Aviator flows more, and is direct drop in for 1998. The FordGT Pump need some modding. Aviator flows harder anyways.

I'm pretty sure the Aviator and Ford GT pumps both flow around 310 LHP...

Good deal. That should look good. I haven't read much on the v3 blowers (other than they are self-contained oil system).. Are they supposed to be even quieter than the v2?

I'm not sure if they are quieter...but like you said they are self contained, and they're supposed to spool faster, and make more boost on the same pulley.

Using a slot style is beneficial in a blow through set up. In a drawthrough a baxxxx maf is sufficient with room to grow without breaking your wallet. As mike said meth will alter temps with added bonus of octane. 420 is very feasible and super efficient.

I have small intercooler and ba2800 w/ adapter.
For sale? PM me a price on the MAF.

I'll be going with a non-IC, draw through setup for now.

Nope...first car ever with boost, can't wait!

Lol your doing it wrong man, if you wanna drive it more you have to go south. Going north mean less drive time. :p
Hahaa I know...but a good job opportunity came up and I jumped on it. I'll move south eventually :)

ABOUT TIME!!!!

lol, thats sick man. Cant wait to see it in action.

Didnt ford stop selling FRPP 42 lb injectors?

If you ever do decide to go blow through I would take Handz advice and go with an 05+ slot style sensor.

When comparing a v2 SI vs a v3 SI, the only difference is that the v3 has is self contained which uses better oil and will run a good bit cooler than if its tapped into the oil pan.

It seems like vortech has started using the Si trim as the standard over the S.

The SI trim is upgraded bearings, a different impellar and a volute but basically it can handle higher RPMs and it supposed to come on stronger and make more boost all around...mine seemed to push a lot of air up top.

My opinion, first hand from going from a S to an Si, the difference is there on paper, but minuscule in the real world to the point where if you hopped in 2 cars, one with an s trim, one with an si trim, I would bet the world that you would never be able to tell the difference since were probably dealing with under 10 hp, especially in our lower boost applications.

Never the less, the SI v3 is the shit.
