I just converted my 95 5.0 from aode to t5 and man was it worth it. Auto was fun but stick is just ridiculous. Not to mention she hauls more ass now! Made my car 100x more fun lol. Also im needing to change my speedo because the tranny i bought is a 2.73 gear i presume as i have a 3.73 diff and the speedo is like 40km off. Also is it weird that i have an auto computer and the computer is not having any problems? I thought the ecu was supposed to stutter and what not when it was supposed to shift? Anyways, if u have a regular auto, ur missing out :p

The ECU should throw a check engine light but nothing more. Maybe that's not the case for 5.0s. I don't know.

Where'd you get your tranny from? I spent 3 hours at a junkyard today trying to remove a T-45 lol. I'm going back tomorrow morning to finish up with the remaining bolts and throw it in the back of my van

LQK, they have everything. got so lucky. They had a 94 t5 with 60,000 miles (approx 90k kms) and had it shipped for free from texas to their local coarparate location here in Canada.

clutch kit will have the bearings, i didnt need a manual crossmember for my 95 t5, not sure for t-45, just had to modify the mount. Also did not need a drive shaft and lucky no ecu :)

Honestly after including labour ($500) i bought everything i need to each nut and bolt costed me $1700 with labour. This is including shipping to Canada, and buying everything brand new besides tranny, bell, and pedals. I got lucky because the tranny came with fork, bell and harness. Also while ur at it, replace ur rear main seal. Only 10$ and no more leaks for me

This is ignorant, whats the difference if you have a manual valve body c4? or a built 4r70w with a manual valve body, still can be street driven but will shiit on a t-5/45/56 even tko in terms of power it can hold and performance.

The manual/auto debate is forever long and will continue until people learn that autos are capable, and fun to drive.

uh... you're trying to pick apart an opinion, duffy. an opinion of "manual cars are more fun to drive than auto cars."

next on the docket: mustang Chris likes redheads more than brunettes.

I said I'd be open to an auto on a drag car, because I'm aware of some of the advantages of it. but for a weekend show mobile, id prefer a manual....

I guess I don't understand what you're going at....

As long as the drapes match the carpet we are good :)

No, most people dont know you can do the manual valve body in a street car and have a super fun car that you can still shift....

my old neighbor's 64 stingray was set up that way... first thing he did when he got the car was ditched the t350 for the auto -- opted out of the trans lock tho. :-/ lol.
