ok so i did some maintanace on my car cleaned iac, gapped spark plugs, new cap and rotor, and bumped my timing from 10 to 14. now i went on a small trip and when i was about 60 miles into it instead of sitting straight up and down on the temp gauge now it was creepin onto the other side. it went all the way to the a on normal. I pulled over let it cool and made it the rest of the way home going slower and with the heater on. my car is a 95 gt. I i drained radiator yeterday and it was pretty clean. so i just refilled it with 50/50 mix and a bottle of purple ice. I then bought a new radiator cap. its still creepin to the wrong side! is this because of the timing change? im gunna try a 180 thermo in it to see if that fixes the problem. Any other ideas?

well I found a small amount of coolent on the floor. looks like there is a small leak starting on the bottom of the radiator. i think it was clogged and it caused the leak. THose shitty as stock radiators... well on to a 3 core and a 180 thermo ;)

I need to ad one more thing to this. I went and got my ac fixed as well in my car. It drove fine around town but as soon as i hit the freeway it started overheating with the ac on  I read on a forum that the lower radiator wind deflector is very important on mustangs and they are bottom feeders for air. I was missing mine. I went to junk yard today got all three pieces for the wind deflector and behold it stays cooler around town and doesnt go past the o or the r on the gauge on the freeway!!!! problem fixed finally!!

you can get a deflector from ford, but the ones for 94-98 are discontinued. you have to get one for a 99+. they fit right in (at least on my 96 it did) and they are longer, but not as tall....

black thing on the bottom in the middle, plus the two on either side (In this case they were paint matched. mine on my car are the same black as the middle one.)

Mine is from a 88 Ranger, got it from rockauto for like $10 shipped. Probably a little much for the street.

Good luck man if fixed my issue but I had other issues I fixes first. Radiator, and missing thermo. Mine was fixed till I got my ac working. In town it was coo but on freeway it would creep up. It wasn't getting enough air when the ac condincer was kickin.
