Hello everyone, I found a kenne bell 2.2 for a 4.6, I was planning on swapping manifolds/ snouts for the 302, any one have experience on that? And do you need gaskets of some kind for taking the manifolds off? Or the snout part? Also I was wondering if anyone had a pulley chart for the 2.2? My engine was on a 5 ish psi on the 1.5 KB I had, unsure if the chart differs or if I use the same setup will it be around the same amount of boost? And then if I change the pulley will I have to go smaller or bigger for more boost?

2 images, left is 2.2 by itself;
Right is my current setup kenne bell 1.5 with the 302 manifolds, and then the 302 manifold example in plan to try and put on a 2.2, and hopefully the snout changes over.
Thank you again for the help!

only thing i notice is that the snout are not in the same place
if you set them side by side the 2.2 is on the left side
the 1.5 is on the right side
mounting holes would be off for manifold
just the way im looking at it
unless you have the correct manifold to mount with 2.2

Which part of the manifold is off that you are talking about?

I’m not familiar with kenne bell’s but are you sure the only difference, besides the snout, between the 4.6 and 302 blowers are the intakes used? Have you spoken to Kenne bell to see if they can sell you just the lower intake?

I own a 1.5 with a 302 intake that I plan on using!

I believe you would need to open the case
and swap the twin screw
but that's like a can of worms
those twin-screw shafts are tight and shimmed just so fine
if you're off a bit its over plus one set of shafts may be larger

you can try it but to me what I see just in the pics you have
its not going to match up
I have one myself on the car and had some experiences with them

Kenne bell can probably make you one out of what you have
not all parts are interchangeable

That's fair I just don't understand I see 6 bolts on the back for the manifold and 5 on top, which fits my manifold, and the only possible problem would be the snouts being interchangeable

I'm guessing these snout differences can be changed with the center bolt, without removing anything and the manifolds would bolt up easily
I’m guessing it won’t but you can be the Guinea pig test mule
