Let's Talk About Sub-Frame Connectors...

And to the OP this is where mine sit:

they follow the front sub frame and end up out back right in front of the torque boxes. These are from Steeda and they gave you metal mounting plates for where they mounted in the rear.

So am I seeing this correctly? There is like a 1/4" plate welded to the SFC which is then welded to the car?

98% positive it's 1/8"... The plate got welded to the sub frame first and then the frame attached to that. It just gave it a nice flat base to weld to. It's hard to see from the pics but the plate has two 90* bends: one up about 1-1/2" on the inside part of the fame (where the muffler is) and the other is where it's painted black into the torque boxes (where the control arm is). I don't think the plates were necessary as I've welded them in before without them but mine came with them so I put them in.

edit: this is referring to the rear most part of the connector. There are more plates mounted vertically on the connector towards the front.
