Yeah that's the best way. I did mine by myself with no problems, though an extra set of hands would be nice to keep it from sliding around.
Lost 3 screws inside trunklid!!

You should have no problems doing it yourself since these spoilers are so light. Just hold the spoiler at the middle with one hand and use your other hand to start the screws on one end. Once it's anchored just slide to the opposite side. Easiest job ever!

magnets are not too bad except for them sticking to the rest of the metal areas. For grabbing screws myself I use a tool I heard a former install buddy call "the abortion tool" and needless to say I have never got that name out of my mind. Its basically a long/thin sprint that has 3 or 4 pieces of metal going through it with a small metal thumb button and on the other side make a claw-grabber with the metal pieces. Push the button and the pins come out and open up allowing you to grap the screw with. Then release the botton and ti wil grab it and hold onto it. That is one of those tools I bought 17 yrs ago now, still see them sold but have never lost mine. When you get it, and can use it to grab a screw that is 3"-2ft out of reach and needless to say do your happy dance and then put it back till you need it 6 months from now. Its a must-have tool in the box IMO.

Huh... looks handy. How easy is it to grab stuff with though? Looks kinda floppy.

really easy honestly I have used it countless times for screws in areas I didn't think I could get them out. They are vato zone I think for less the $10 and you can always put a magnet into the end if you want to try that method.
