loud bang/pop sound?

I was going in reverse pretty fast and turned the wheel and slammed on my brakes.

I heard a loud bang/pop sound...nothing seemed wrong though?

was the bang/pop coming from the front or the back, and did this noise happen after the suspension settled following the brakes?

sounds like it could have been your diffy locking up in some strange way (ive done that to mine on occation. lol)

ball joint? maybe a u joint? control arm bolt lose? steering rack internals binding up? vtak valve not opening? i dono...

You could have popped a strut. I would check the struts and shocks for leaks. Also check the ball joints and tie rod ends real good. You don't want a tie rod to break while going down the road.

coulda been a u joint,but not sure if that would have been as loud as somethign else...
