Yeah, he don't care about turning, lol. He just wants a low number. He bought a Shelby now, so I guess we'll never know how quick that could have gone, but the point is, if all you want is a low number, you can get it other ways than spraying 300000 hp worth of nitrous, or 30 psi of boost.

Same goes for the road course.

Yeah. I totally understand what you mean. Alot of guys/girls are just looking for lots of power or SOTP feel. Or just to make there car "seem" quick. Then when they take it to the track or get their arse handed to them by a Taurus, they wonder what the hell happened.
1/4 time= Suspension, gears, tires, tune, heads, cams <==that'll get you a pretty decent #
Auto-X = SUSPENSION (x2), tires, brakes (anything majorly important I'm missin? Oh well! I think they get the point)

It makes sense....hes making decent power, has 4.10s, has it setup to run at the track..He had to be cutting a hell of a 60 foot time.

13.3 @ 100

usually youll see like 13.8-14.0 at 100 with a 2.0-2.1 60 so with his setup if he was doing like a 1.75 60 I see why hes at 13.3

You cant get his 60 foot time?

BTW my bolt ons helped me trap 102 mph, without pi cams..im just not setup for drag haha

yes i now see why it is so fast at the strip... besides the suspention, the 4000 stall and 4.10's. That does it there. that stall was probably around 900 to 1100 dollars.

As far as I know it's full weight, except he doesn't have any crap in the trunk. He does have all the factory sheetmetal, seat's, etc.

The point is, brutal as it is, these car's are slow, there's just no if and's or but's about it. He too has gone beyond bolt-on's, bolt on's aren't going to get it, no matter what your goal is.

Well put J.R. the bolt on game on the NPI 96-98 cars is a losing battle.
Stock yes the NPI cars are slow but,the SN95 body style is the best looking! :santa_afro:
Altitude, weather, and track conditions play a major role in seeing great times.
He must he been cutting 1.6-1.7 60 foot times then witch doesn't come over
night and takes lots of practice plus trail and error.
Excellent time though! :santa_afro:

I want to buy another 96-98 gt, and set it up primarily for street/strip use. half gutted, with full drag suspension. i think it would be fun.

How much power can I expect from a tb/plenum combo? What gears should I get? :D

you'll get throttle response and a jump in top end power.

your gear choice should be based on your ammount of highway driving, or how much you wanna dump in gas. 3.73 is the even choice in street/strip. but i thinki i'm going to get 3.90s
