Maintenance Log question. What do you use?

What do you guys use to keep track of your vehicle maintenance? The factory service manual kind of sucks Because it doesn't leave room for additional repairs other than the recommended mileage and oil service.

So what do you guys use just a note book?

I'm not sure if I've kept a paper record on the mustang. On my old F-150 I wrote it in the back of the owner manual, there were a couple of blank pages.


Side note: your 94 owners manual looks a lot different than min... Can vs US thing?

I've been documenting all of the maintenance for about 8 years now on my wifes 07' Elantra. It's got around 134k miles on it now and I just keep the receipts in a folder and write down any repairs that were done in the factory log book. That's really the only reason I've been wanting to do the same on my Mustang. More for convenience.

However, on the SN95 I've done more restoration work like paint and odds and ends to get it back to good condition from sitting for so many years. I've kept the receipts just haven't started a system yet. It's more to keep a nice easy record for myself and the next owner if or when that ever happens. :thumbsup:

Absolutely! But I usually have books of receipts, writeups, factory manuals, paperwork, etc for my big projects.
It definitely helps justify your pricing when selling! LOL!

I guess I could do a three ring binder in sections. One for the receipts, maintenance, and future items.

I used to keep a detailed log for my Mustang but lost it in a house fire a few years ago. I still have all my receipts from parts etc though since I keep them in a drawer in my tool box.

Having a detailed book of maintenance can really help if you ever want to sell.

No but when comparing similar cars I tend to go for the one that can be proven that maintenance was done. It may not add value but it may help it sell sooner if at all.
