Me vs 07 Cobalt SS

I want to know who you think will win.

This is the guy i got my Mustang from and now he owns a Cobalt SS. I kinda like those cars. anyways... :happy6:

We were going to race tonight but it rained. :crybaby2:

pro 5.0 shifter

all stock except for a CAI

my full bolt on 96 GT (194 to the wheels) put one car length on a stock supercharged SS cobalt. from 0-100 (loner than 1/4 mile)

just hopped out in front with my 4.10s and stayed there the rest of the race(s).

The older ones are SC, newer ones got with it and put a turbo on

It's gonna be close.

I know a guy with a S/Ced SS with nothing more than a stage 2 pulley (like 4 extra pounds, or something like that) and a CAI, and he runs high 13s/low 14s all day long depending on the weather. Your car can't do that. But, the SS you are racing doesn't have that extra boost. So it's going to be very close.

My prediction is that you jump him 2-3 lengths out of the hole, and he runs you down and beats you by a fender at the other end. 1/8=you, 1/4=him.

and they are FAST. (at least the two ive seen here in denver.) run low 14s/high 13s stock (which is low 13s/high 12s at sea level, mind you.)

if its supercharged, id say he can take him.
if its turbo charged, id say he'll lose.

I raced a modded SS with my HCI swap and I was surprised on how fast it was. I mean, I won but from the dig it wasnt that impressive. From the roll however it scooted...

Bone stock the s/c ones run mid 14s, my take is if you don't take him off the line you're done. Gonna be a drivers race, if he can drive well I'd be worried.

When people see them on the road they think fast(at least I did when I was younger). so when I pull up next to rice burners and anything less than a V8, it gets a lil scary cuz you never know what these cars are packin. :confused1:
