Simco boost and IAT setup came in today. This will match the instrument cluster. Now to get a wideband and fuel pressure gauge.

My nephew, father, and I got the fuel tank dropped. Time to wire wheel, prime, and repaint the underneath before throwing the new Cobra tank and FORE system.

Nothing overly exciting this shipment. New OEM COPs. Also new lifters and followers from the GT500 that will help let the car spin to 8k RPMs.

I recently switch to that set up in my 04. Now that I have my widebands reading correctly I'm really happy with it.

How do you like it? What is your setup?

I'm really happy with it. The live tuning is awesome. I've only messed with the idle so far though. I still need to check the timing with the timing light.

I've been using SCT for about 12 years so there was some adjusting for me.

Nothing to crazy. Stock engine with a Whipple 2.9 and return fuel system with ID1050x injectors.

FWIW, I might have learned a couple things today. One is that I don't think I'm going to be able to keep powering the relays for the fuel pumps with the FPDM. I did a couple changes to the tune that I hope helped. Otherwise I'm going to have to trigger them with a key on source.

Second is that the new ECU doesn't power the reverse lock out. Took me a couple tries to figure out why I couldn't get into reverse.

Why do you say that?

When driving the car acted really odd when pulling away from a stop. It reminded me of when I accidentally loaded the wrong tune that still had the returnless active. I tried setting the fuel pump mode to open loop and set it to 100%, but it wouldn't start. The pumps would prime, but not keep running. I could see the pressure drop after trying to start it. I ended up making a pigtail to jump the relays through the body side of the FPDM connector and it works now.
