Metal on cars!

Hi guys,
I know it may sound dumb but I'm in welding at school and I want to weld something for my car any suggestions?
I was thinking a shock tower brace or a sway bay maybe? Any tips are helpful. Has anyone else ever do this?

it sounds like you are new enough that you need to start off with some scrap pieces and lean what yo do wrong. Going straight into the car would reqiure some knowledge> some reading, get the right metal and you can make your wrong for to bad. Youtube has some great videos but the place Ihve got teh most infro from was my welding suppllu class
