So I have been needing a vehicle for myself. Only having the wifes car has sucked. I found this little gem and might snag her tonight.

1984 T-TYPE REGAL! Same 3.8 V-6 automatic! Limited slip as Grand National! Straight body! Passenger door rusty! Has sat for 12 years! $1,250

To most people I would say no.. but with all the engine work you've done to your car in what seemed like short amounts of time, you'll probably have no problem with it.

I went and checked the car out. Honestly its Pretty straight. No dents or dings. The car was covered on blocks for those 12 years under a portable carport. At least the interior is clean, 29k miles, A/C blows cold and its completely original. Unmolested.

The bad, the passenger door window weather stripping rail was gone so its had rain in the passenger door rusting it on the bottom. The paint is faded but painting a car isnt a big deal.

We almost negotiated a trade. My spare Viper trans T56 trans for the car. Not sure I want to do that. Probably going to get the car either way.

What trans?

I will sell ya my extra Viper T56 I have, for $1250. LOL

I kinda just wanted a car that there arent many of (5204 T-type built in 84, 2000 are GNX and 3204 are reg T-type. 438 were this color code)

Its all original unmolested. I want it as original as possible. Only swapping with parts I can easily put back to stock. It will be even rare of a car in ten to fifteen years.

Plans are go with some gears, bigger turbo, new paint and some wheels. And be very happy with it as my daily driver. Supposedly they get good gas mileage as well.

This is what its supposed to look like but this car has the Vinyl top option. I will remove the vinyl top when I repaint it.

What i am going for

I went back out there in the day time. Wanted to get some pics of the production codes. And come to find out the dam car is not what year he was selling it as. I said hey man. This car is an 83', so its carb'd.

He said the title says 84,. I said BS let me see, the numbers dont match the car. LMAO

The interior was mint but the entire passenger door needed replaced, also the carb'd turbo ones suck.

SO I did run away as fast as I could.

Going to dump the cash into my car instead, I am being nudged into a 80mm turbo setup for the project.
