When I was considering them it was really just more for the collectability of them as I too think the bottom of it looks a little strange on a non-NE car. Since having mine painted though I could not be any happier with them.

Great choice!!! I went all black on mine but i think paint match would look better on your white vert.

Also they are direct swaps. I did a how-to complete with pictures in the how to section.

Finally, i bought my 03/04 cobra mirrors for 350.00 off svtp and sold them on ebay for 425.00.... (iirc)
