missing serious hp

my 302 car i bought to make into a road race car is missing serious power. runs ok, slight tick. has CAI, underdrive pulleys, and msd ignition. its also has full suspension work done. but i cant even get it to do a burnout with the AODE today. i havent beat on this car all summer and i never drive it, and didnt notice. it will be getting a new tranny soon, but i cant figure out where the hp is going. 73k miles

That right there is taking away quite a bit of your power.. But when was the last time you did a tune-up? How old are the:
Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Cap/Rotor, Ign Coil... etc.

Your not able to spin the tires without doing a brake torque because the stock converter stalls so low.

Invest in a better torque converter and you'll have no issue spinning them.

im getting a new trans, either a tko500 or tko600, havent desided yet. i just think its weird

hasnt had a tune up in maybe a year, but its only been driven for 100 miles all year too.
