I have a Centerforce Dual friction clutch, has been in the car for roughly 4-5 years now and aside from being noisy at times, has been a great clutch. Do you think the water messed up the pressure plate? Keep in mind this all started AFTER this huge flood we had.
I'm willing to bet all that water ruined your pressure plate.
I have had my Centerforce Dual Friction clutch for 13K miles now with no problems.
I haven't had any noise coming from mine.I love my Centerforce clutch it has treated me well.
Replace your pressure plate and throwout bearing and see if that fixes it.

I got the spec stage 2 for the very reason it would allow me to grow. I am not sure it was a good idea though because since the h/c/i i think the trans is slowly starting to fail, and now with the KB I think it's only going to be a matter of time til the trans is gone. I'll most likely be upgrading to a stronger trans with a 26 spline input shaft and I'll need a new clutch anyways, so getting the stg 2 now was kind of a waste.

Another update, the stickyness is gone, but the pedal is still pretty stiff. I'm ordering a new cable tomorrow at work, so I'm hoping going with an actual Motorcraft cable will do the best. Another thing that is making me mad is the humid weather, since my car is running a HCI without a tune, it smells of raw fuel most of the time when driving for 30 mins or more lol. Can't wait to get that tune done!

yeah good call on the FMC cable. I think it's the best way to go. That's exactly what i did when i replaced everything in my car.

Pull back on the clutch pedal hard and see if it clicks. And I mean hard.

Got the Motorcraft clutch cable in and wow, clutch pedal is MUCH easier and softer to push now, and the stickyness is gone :). Doesn't screech either, chirps a little but it always has, even with the new TOB. I'll never buy an aftermarket cable again, that napa one was a POS!

Good to hear man. I know i had a stock cable and went with a new OEM cable and it was a huge difference just b/c the original cable had 172,000 miles on it.

Ya, The original one wore out a few years back, replaced it with a granetelli adjustable one, that one almost snapped(cable was frayed beyond believe), changed that for a NAPA one, that one started acting up now I'm with a OEM one, and it feels like exactly like my Uncle's 00' GT, which is great! Now the save money for a dyno tune and ET streets then suspension, at least I'm working full time now :).
