What kinda tires are you running?? I think if you could get rid of the tire spin thru first and second with a nice set of tires, therefor getting you a quicker 1/4 time.. Just my 2cents

X2... actually the 1994 GT i just bought still had the factory "tri-bars" on them... I was like, ohh.. what are those?
ha..
To the OP, you could get a pair of 15s or 16s for the back and put some slicks on them for the track.. A taller tire
will keep you in 4th going through the traps, and the slicks will help reduce the "smoking through 1st/2nd."

Well with all that said you for SURE need better tires on those 17s or a nice set of slicks. Because with those mods you should definitely be running better than a 14.7. I have a completely stock 95 GTS except for a CAI and I ran a 15.0 flat with some crappy sumitumo tires.. So try to get a set of slicks and you will feel the difference.. :headbang:

I can't figure out how you're possibly getting to 5th gear with those mods, that would mean you're trapping like 120 or something.

X2.. now that I think about it.. My car with 4.10s and stock wheel/tire (245/45/17) size is usually 5,600(appox)rpm in 4th when I cross the line,
3.73 with stock tire size I would think you would be less than that.. But taller slicks are a must to kill 2 birds with 1 stone in this scenario.

To much throttle body for ya setup. But anyway, you should be low 13's or better with that setup. As already said, run a taller\stickier tire. Just a hint, when my 95 gt was stock with only gears, I ran 13.885 @ 99mph. I Launched at 15-1700 feathering clutch through first, shifting at 5600-5800. And crossed the line mid 4th. So all in all, taller\stickier tire and practice

yea sounds alittle to gung ho off the line tires dont stop spinning befrore you grab second and just keep going i have the same trans and tire set up but with 4:10's and do not need 5'th in the 1/4 so i think you just need some seat time at the track(the taller stickies wont hurt of corse)

What is your trap speed? I have 3.73s with a little 26" tall tire and I'm about 124 mph through the traps at 6000. If you think your doing 6000 rpms through the traps and are going less than 124 with stock size tires, your Tach is wrong.

I don't know how you're hitting 5th in the 1/4, I cross then line at around 5-5.5k in 4th...
