Ok so im in the process of a motor swap (5.0 to 5.0) Im not very experienced... Just got the shifter out and working on getting the drive shaft off. Is there any online tutorials with pictures and stuff on how to do it? I have the Haynes manual and it helps but not enough. My other question is how much should a motor swap cost for someone to do? I met these guys at my job a few weeks ago and they said they would do it for $400.

If you have little/no experience working on cars - I wouldn't advise attempting a motor swap on your own. Try to get some experienced friends to help you. I wouldn't want you to end up with a half disassembled car that needs to be towed to a shop for repair anyway.

BIG +1, if you brought that to me half way done I would charge you more because Id have to figure out where the hell everything goes!! Its almost weird how you remember how stuff was and what bolts go where when you take it apart.

So is 400 a good price? I met these guys at work while they were shoping and they said 400 when i called them back. Still a little nervous if I cant trust them or not.

Sure it's a good price if they're not retards, but who knows if they know what they're doing.
