Got a chance to check out my 2002 Saleen tonight on the dyno.
Found the boost controller is not working so only made 11 pounds of boost on the waste gate springs.

Still knocked out good power and torque. More boost and bigger numbers coming soon.

Caleb tweaked the tune a little and gave me better driveability as well.
Thanks Fastlane Motorsports!
Must be nice...Im all jealous :) Looking good

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-2][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-2]I took the time today to install the T56 reverse lockout box.
Basically since our cars did not come with the T56, we don't have our computer controlling the solenoid on the side of the transmission that keeps you from engaging reverse at speed.
Therefore, this solenoid is always engaged and makes it VERY difficult to put the car in reverse, even at a complete stop.

I bought the kit from GRC Performance in California.
I installed it in about 1 hour yesterday.
Easy connections. 2 wires to VSS/OSS sensor, 1 wire to +12 volts, 1 wire to ground, and 2 wires to the reverse solenoid.
Basic operation is it applies 12 volts to the solenoid when you are between 0mph and 5mph.

When I first installed mine, I didn't notice any difference.
So I took the solenoid off the transmission.
I found that when applying 12 volts, it did not disengage (or make a clicking noise).
I took the plunger apart and found the inner spring was in a bind.
This could possibly have been caused by never engaging the solenoid properly.

I cut out a small portion of the spring and reinstalled.
I hit it with 12 volts and the plunger moved back and forth and clicked.

I reassembled to the transmission and tested it out.
SMOOTH as BUTTER!
Much easier to get into reverse now!

Best $113 I've spent!

DEAL! I have always wanted to ride in a 1000 horsepower anything, but a 1000 horsepower Mustang Saleen? I could die happy.

DTH just pooped himself! If I lived out in cali Id love to see these as well. Iv only seen one (real) saleen in person. Ironically I was just working (i deliver autobody supplies to shops) And when I walked in there it was!

You have some very nice cars. As said above, i have always wanted a saleen and you have taken it to a new level. Thanks for the t56 tip as that is my next project. Do you have any pictures of you turbo piping and setup. Id like to see how it was all configured.

Isn't NC North Carolina? Cuz if it's N California, you may find me on your doorstep quickly, as I'm like 30 min from the OR/CA border.

And I've seen lot's of Saleens. My buddy around the corner has like 10. I can do you one better. 95 Cobra R. Ya. He has one of those as well. Lot's of amazing Mustangs

[SIZE=-2][SIZE=-2] Some project updates -

I ordered some more parts for the Saleen and fixed a couple of problems.

Parts -
Cross-drilled and slotted rear rotors
Ceramic brake pads
Red and Black paint

I removed my old and rusty rear rotors and painted my calipers and brackets.
I then installed a fresh set of ceramic brake pads.
Cleaned up the look significantly.
Didn't have the front pads in stock, so I haven't changed those yet.

Next I got my boost controller figured out.
The wires that run from the controller to the solenoids had been cut where the previous owner ran them thru the firewall. Replaced the wiring and now the AMS500 works great.
At 16.5 pounds of boost, the car made 678rwhp on 93 octane!!
I didn't want to push it too much on boost since it's been in the 20 degree digits around here!
The extra 100rwhp makes the car a monster on the street!

Just a few changes.

1. All silicone couplers are black.
2. P51 intake is polished and the lower is powder coated black.
3. Moroso valve covers powder coated red.

Nice collection of cars, especially the 1998 and 2002 Saleens. How far are you going to take the 02 Saleen power wise and is the 98 all done in terms of HP?
