alright well I have a 1996 Mustang with the 3.8 and auto tranny she has Shorty headers and a K&N airfilter so how much horsepower (yeah I know not much but still) do you think my car has to the wheels? oh and it has a rebuilt engine with 30k miles on it. Well thank you for reading and well if you have a clue Id like to know because I guess Ive got around 120? at the wheels but that's what I think I'm not sure. So well responses will be appreciated Thanks.

Sincerely Dylan.

should make between 125-130hp at the wheels and about 190 lbft of torque. our stock shorty headers on 94-98 V6's flow very well for stock, they are essentially the same as aftermarket shorties

alright thanks and I think they are aftermarket headers because I looked at the OEM shorty headers and aftermarket shortys and they look to be aftermarket.

Its a good start to your car! Go with a tru dual exhaust and some gears. Then later down the road if you want more power you could pick up a used supercharger kit.
Good luck with the mods

I guess if thats what you wnt to do. Insurance is gonna kill tho, unless you dont pay for your own or are well off. I could afford the insurance on a gt when i was just getting out of high school.
So a few years after i started building my car and never looked back

You'll have approx 120 rwhp at the wheels with an auto and those mods, but that's also going to depend on the dyno used. Different dynos calculate hp differently, so you'll get varying numbers. My 98 V6 I had dynoed at 125 rwhp on a dyno dynamics dyno but a comparible car with similar mods as me dynoed at 145 on another brand dyno.

If you want to get a V8 in the future (like I did when I had my sixer) don't dump "ANY" money into the car. You'll never get the money back out of the car, and really, it takes money to make a 94/98 V6 "fast" by any means of the deffinition.

Alright I want to make my v6 quicker and Ive already planed mostly what Im going to do in the next year or so Im going to put a cold air and cat back exhaust engine whise. When I graduate I plan to tinker with the computer to get higher shift point also full exhaust (long tubes high flow cats blah blah blah) a cam and lifter set and shorter gears. But thats just because I want to make my car quicker and funner to drive then just a stock sixer.

if you're going to do a cam, do the Splitport swap as well. in short, it is swapping the heads and lower intake (a few other things too, those are just the major parts) from a 99-04 V6 mustang.

alright yeah and do the the 99-04 air intake manifolds do any extra horsepower? Because I think they look sweet
that can only be added with a Splitport swap. 99-04 Intake Manifolds can only be put on 99-04 Heads. the complete Splitport swap will add about 40hp if the heads and intake are un-ported, more if they are ported, with a cam added too
