Looks like it's coming along nicely. I like the front bumper. I sure like the look of Raceline wheels on these cars.

sweet look, I like how you kept the door handles, these cars look terrible with them shaved. going to get rid of the locks? side scoops molded? rear plate area molded?

Thanks P!
the locks are staying and the side scoups are still the same too..
Rear plate area, same. I did shave those reflecters in the rear bumper.

Blending, filling, block sanding, primer, block, primer, block....

He's almost done. I did add a few things to his list today.
Big hold up was the rear bumper blend, and the side skirt quality was shit. he had to work them over 360.
also filling out the doors to match, more blending. ect.
I also had him shave and blend the front... I'm to picky I guess.

I told him today I want the mirrors painted white. ( some guy named Johnbeast got me thinking of that one!)
Wed, I'll be looking over some sketches on the body graphics. >:D

thanks Grnstang, they "were" a knock off 99 style saleen side. best I could find as a base.
the quality sucked assface, so they had to rework them.

I've got a pretty good idea about the 3rd brake. If I'm right I've seen it on some very custom choppers and it is very cool. I'll keep my comments to myself though.

Re: My body and paint - Blended sides make me happy!

Well, we looked at going butt wild on the paint, and it would look pretty damn eye catching. but I'm thinking I"d get tired of it.
So I"m back to clean/1 color, with an accent on the side and hood.

I'm out of town all week - Family Vacation to Lake Powell :bunny3:

The car will be ready to spray when I get back. (Aug 6th)-((my B-day :naughty:)) He want's me there.
Friday we looked everything over really close, and he sprayed out some test accent colors.
Cobalt candy over silver is a really pretty blue to go with the white.

I've been crazy busy the last few months working to get my kitchen remodel done, and we've been swamped at work.
this vacation will help keep me sane.
And I've got something to look foreward to :)

It's been a fun poject, and I've wanted to do this for years
thanks everyone for your input, and sharing the love.
Have a good week.

Re: My body and paint progress - She's ready for Paint

Hey Dalamar...Just wondering where you got that hood? I want that exact hood, but the only one I've found that looks that nice is the actual Saleen hood which is around $600. Is that aftermarket, and if so can you tell me where you found it and what the make is? Thanks man, and again, awesome car!

I can't wait to see it done, Jeff. Seems like you have every little detail taken into account, which will be what makes your car really stand out, imo...

Hey Brnwillms...Thanks for the info. That looks like the one! Looks much better than some of the aftermarket Saleens out there. Thanks again man.
